Akshaya Patra opens 21st kitchen in Rourkela

SAIL (Rourkela Steel Plant) has set up a centralised kitchen in Rourkela,  equipped with all that is necessary to cook for over 40,000 children every day. The kitchen is equipped with boilers, rice cleaning machines, cold storage, custom made utensils, conveyor belts, along with packing and cleaning facilities. Twenty customized meal distribution vehicles have also been donated to transport the cooked food from the kitchen to schools located in Lathikata and Bisra blocks and Rourkela municipality area.
