In order to celebrate the milestone of having served their 25 millionth meal, the 'Dakshina Kannada' unit of The Akshaya Patra Foundation organised an event titled 'Zero to 25 Million' on November 04, 2013. The not-for-profit Foundation plans to reach out to 50,000 school children in its Dakshina Kannada unit by the year 2020.
To commemorate Teacher's Day, The Akshaya Patra Foundation organised a special event. The programme which began on 06 September, 2014 will run for four Saturdays at different venues across Bangalore.
