No Child Should Sleep Hungry

Campaign Overview

Last year when I went to India, I saw street beggars using little children as props to seek money. As a father of a new born baby, those scenes were heartbreaking for me. While my son was in room amid all the possible luxury & comfort & love, these hapless kids were exposed to heat/rain/dust & probably drugged too. From that day, I always wondered what may I do in my limited capacity to stop the exploitation of those innocent souls. I started scanning NGOs working on this sectors and came to know about Akashaya Patra Foundation. It is an internationally recognized NGO running successfully mid-day meals and anganwadi campaigns to ensure that no child goes home hungry and their parents are not forced to rent the children for daily beggary. In this regard, I will personally appeal to all of you to come forward and support Akshaya Patra's noble cause by sponsoring meals for children. The donation starts with 3 children @ 3300 rupees every year (equivalent to the expense of spending an evening in a multiplex watching movies with friends & family). I am personally committing to donate for 50 children every year. Apart from the donation, you may join Akashaya  Patra as volunteer or ambassador to spread the awareness campaign.
