Akshaya Patra Chapters are regional voluntary groups of like-minded philanthropists and socially conscious citizens that works as extended leadership team for Akshaya Patra.
Mission orCharter for the Chapters is to help amplify & sustain the positive social impact of Akshaya Patra’s endeavours by
- Promoting awareness of the large cause and foundation’s mission, goals and efforts
- Garnering fiscal support for sustenance and growth of the Mid Day Meal (MDM) and other social impact program operated by Akshaya Patra
- Strengthening Akshaya Patra’s partner community

Bhavna Bahl Talwar
Bhavna is the president & founding member of “Beleza by the beach”, a boutique 93 room luxury resort thatshe has been an integral part of, since its inception 14 years ago.An Alumna of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University &Warwick Business School, UK, Bhavna has previously worked as a financial consultant at a corporate firm. She has an active interest in the financial markets and continues to manage the family office and their investments and activities.
Bhavna is deeply moved by Akshay Patra's noble endeavour to aid in promoting education by alleviating hunger in school-going children. Her family has worked closely with Akshay Patra in driving free vaccination camps in Delhi which has been a successful project.
Deepak Gupta
Deepak Gupta is the Chief Business Officer at WNS. He joined WNS in 2005 and has led various verticals within the organization successfully. Prior to WNS, he has been part of organizations such as IBM Daksh in leadership capacity.
He is a hotelier by education and a chef by choice, traveller by passion and holds philanthropy very close to his heart. He is based out of Gurgaon, when he is not on the road. He is a true animal lover, an avid rallyist and gardener.
Previous to joining Akshaya Patra as the Chief Marketing Officer in the year 2015, he was the National Business Head (Mobility Operations) with Aircel, prior to that he has worked in Senior Leadership Roles with brands like Airtel, Motorola, Escotel and Essar, across India and in Africa. At Akshaya Patra, he leads the Sustainability, Program Strategy, Brand, Donor Management and collaborative philanthropy.
Chef Manish Mehrotra
Having started his career in Mumbai as part of Ananda Solomon’s team at the Thai Pavilion of the Taj Hotels, he joined Old World Hospitality in 2000. Flooring the guests at Oriental Octopus with his culinary skills and charm, he has since spent about eighteen years with Old World Hospitality, opening several restaurants while travelling the world.
Chef Manish is currently the Corporate Chef at Indian Accent and has been called the most exciting modernIndian chef in the world today. He lives in New Delhi. Manish enjoys watching movies, cricket matches and cooking for his daughter, Adah, who is a foodie and loves prawns. Manish is an enthusiastic reader & has a collection of more than 1200 Cookbooks from across the globe.
Meenu goyal
Artist, avid reader and Philanthropist in her own way. She holds a B.Com (H) and interior design degree. She worked for Pacific Malls as Marketing Director and is now a stay at home Mother to three lovely children, pursuing their dreams. The family is into pharmaceutical and power plants business and also owns charitable trusts, of which Meenu is a part. Meenu believes in giving to the society in whatever way she can. No contribution is big or small.
Rajbir Singh
Rajbir is an accomplished corporate veteran having worked in leadership roles at IBM, Oracle, HCL Technologies and Tata Unisys. Rajbir is the founder and Consulting Partner at Value Centria.In addition to that, he has set up a not-for-profit company focused on mentoring start-ups, i4 Mentors Foundation.Rajbir is an awarded innovator and was the first winner of the Innovation award “MAD JAM” at HCL Technologies. He has also been recognized by Pega, SAP, Forrester for innovative solutions. He is currently pursuing PhD in Innovation Strategyfrom IIT Delhi. He is an IIT Delhi graduate and an MBA from IIM Bangalore.
Rajbir is married to Dr Inderbir, an electronics Prof at Delhi University. Their daughter Manjyot is a fashion designer and son Arjunjyot is a grade 9 student at Springdales in Delhi.
