Their knowledge base, along with the guidance of the Unit Presidents, helps in the operation of the organisation in an efficient manner and ensures best usage of resources.
Chief Executive Officer
Shridhar has over 23 years of work experience and has been associated with leading multinationals like Philips, ABB, Webex Communications (now CISCO), etc. Prior to joining Akshaya Patra he was Vice President – Sales, Webex Communications. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Management. Shridhar is an Eisenhower Fellow 2014 and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program from Wharton Business School 2014 . In Akshaya Patra, Shridhar oversees all the executive functions such as Resource Mobilization, Communication, Finance, HRD, IT and Operations Excellence Initiative. He brings to the table strong people management and organization skills.
Head – Internal Audit, ERM & Govt Relations
Vikram brings more than 9 years of rich experience in Audit, Finance, Accounts, Taxation, MIS, Treasury, Fund and JV Accounting. He is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, Cost and Work Accountant (All India 12th Rank Holder) and a Law Graduate. Before Akshaya Patra, he worked with NIPPON KOEI CO. LTD. and NAV Consulting INC. and has significantly contributed in establishing Accounting and Audit Systems from scratch. At Akshaya Patra, Vikram is responsible for driving Audit and Govt Relations; and conducting the Audit Committee meeting. Previously, through different roles at Akshaya Patra, he has implemented Centralized Accounting/Payroll, Regional Office (North), Cost Saving initiatives and handled Finance Function. He has also been a speaker and teacher facilitating learning to aspiring/practicing Chartered Accountants.
Vinay N Kumar
Head – Operations (Bengaluru, Ballari, Lucknow & Vrindavan)
Vinay Kumar, a Chartered Accountant by qualification has over 10 years of work experience in various industries. Vinay is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor. Vinay started his career in the field of accounts and finance with one of the FMCG companies in India; he then made a career shift to business process consulting and ERP implementation for small and medium enterprises in the bottom of the pyramid. Vinay has spearheaded over 15 projects in various industries like FMCG, Electronics, Telecommunications, Manufacturing and Distribution in his career with a couple of international stints. As Head of ERP, at The Akshaya Patra Foundation, he is responsible for adopting and implementing the ERP to help improve operational efficiency and manage growth. As Head - Operations, Vinay is also responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day Operations of Units located in Bengaluru and Ballari including strategic planning, food safety & quality, production, distribution, logistics, and people management and development.
Chief Financial Officer
Ganesh is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and a Public Accountant (CPA). He has over 24 years of experience with leading businesses (Indian & MNCs). Prior to Akshaya Patra he worked with TVS (since March 2012). In the past, he had worked with Mphasis (VP – Controllership); ICICI Bank (Regional Head for Retail Assets Operations Group); S.B. Billimoria & Co., Chartered Accountants (Audit Manager); SRF Finance Ltd (Finance Manager). At Akshaya Patra he spearheads the finance function by managing end to end responsibility for the finance function. He will also strategise and execute plans for sustainability and growth of the organisation.
Chief Projects Officer
R Madan, with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree from the National Institute of Engineering, Mysuru, has over 30 years of experience in leading businesses (Indian and MNCs) in a gamut of Food and Beverage Processing. Previous to joining Akshaya Patra he was associated with United Nations projects and has worked with the OLAM International as General Manager (Projects and Operations), also as Head – Process Design for projects in West Africa. Prior to which, he had essayed Senior Leadership Roles with brands like Field Fresh Foods (Formerly Del Monte), PepsiCo India, Tata Tea and Mohan Mekins. He was associated with Pepsi for over 13 years as Vice President and also had assumed various roles in operations, quality, and projects. In the 3 years he was with Del Monte as Head – Projects and Manufacturing, he was instrumental in strategizing and executing the world’s first beverages and culinary products plant under one roof with state-of-the-art equipment, complying with European and American Standards. He had helped the Akshaya Patra during its initial years with Design and Project Management aspects. As CPO he identifies and finalises on New Food Manufacturing Technologies and its implementation; holds end to end responsibility of kitchen developments and modernisation of existing kitchens to increase stakeholder satisfaction; and assists region Presidents in new projects and infrastructure requirements.
Head - Communications
Ajay has more than a decade of rich experience in Process & Product Engineering, Program Management and Organizational Excellence. Ajay has worked in Technology companies like Tejas Networks, American Power Conversion (now Schneider Electric), Hical Technologies. He has led Technology Innovation & Transition projects in the fields of Telecom, Automotive, Electronics, Space and other applications providing turnkey solutions to clients across the globe Ajay has extensively used concepts of Six Sigma, Shainin DOE, DFM, DFA & Reliability Engineering to achieve outstanding results in his field of work. He has also been instrumental in implementation of Quality Systems and certification to International Standards such as TS 16949, ISO 9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS 18001. At Akshaya Patra and its Sister organizations, Ajay has successfully handled various Organizational Transformation projects and Sustainability initiatives. Currently, Ajay is heading the Communications activities of the organisation. Ajay has completed his Management Studies with specialization in the areas of Operations & Marketing.
Chief Marketing Officer
Sundeep Talwar has a Post Graduate in Management from Duke and IIM-Ahmedabad, and is also a certified Black-Belt in Six Sigma. He has over 20 years of work experience in marketing and communications with leading corporates, especially from the Telecom sector. Previous to joining Akshaya Patra he was the National Business Head (Mobility Operations) with Aircel, prior to that he has worked in Senior Leadership Roles with brands like Airtel, Motorola, Escotel and Essar, across India and in Africa. He has also received international accreditation from BID Spain for developing the first anti-virus application. He has won several accolades like Excellence Award in Sales Motorola, Deployment of Airtel University with Bharti, Standardisation of customer experience (Project Bhartiyam) in Airtel, Best Circle Operations Head with Aircel and many more. At Akshaya Patra he leads the Corporate Fund Raising, Government Relations, Innovation and Volunteering teams, collaborates with the Leadership team to strategise and execute plans for sustainability and growth, strategises and executes fund raising initiatives that help in the sustainability of existing kitchens and ensures the availability of funds for upcoming kitchen projects, and strengthens the relationship with corporates who are partnering with Akshaya Patra and reaches out to other corporates to build a partnering relationship.
Head - Operations (Gujarat Region)
Jagranjan holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration specializing in Operations Management. In addition, he holds diplomas in Mechanical Engineering, Production Management and is a qualified Lead Auditor for OHSAS 18001. Jagranjan brings with him more than 17 years of experience in various fields of Operations Management, including, Production, Manufacturing Process, Quality Control, TQM, 5S, Kaizen, Purchase & Material Management. He has worked with industries like Automobile and Tea industries. Prior to joining Akshaya Patra, he had worked with organizations like Mindarika Pvt. Limited and Mohani Tea (P) Limited. At The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Jagranjan is responsible for day-to-day operations including strategic planning, food safety & quality, production, distribution, logistics, and people management and development of Gujarat Region units located in Ahmadabad / Gandhinagar, Surat, Baroda and Nathdwara.
Mr. Vijay Kumar is a post graduate in Software Programming. He has over 38 years of experience in the industry, of which 30 years were dedicated to the field of Information Technology. Prior to Akshaya Patra he was associated with The Himalaya Drug Company where he has experience of more than 25 years. There he was instrumental in setting up the entire IT infrastructure. He has also proven his proficiency in international operations by setting IT hubs and Data Centres across Dubai for Himalaya Drug. He has also rolled out SAP ERP in all the International Hubs. Adding to Vijay Kumar’s excellence, he was also instrumental in the implementation of State of the Art Data Centre, Complete Business Continuity Plan, EMC Avamar Data backup, MLPS as well as providing internet connectivity to 42 plants and 35 warehouses across the country ensuring 24 hour ERP Connectivity. He has also implemented SAP R3, SAP PLM and SAP HCM & Microsoft Dynamics across the organization. Vijay Kumar’s expertise also lies in setting up of Enterprise Scale IT Infrastructure. Previous to Himalaya Drug, he was also associated with organisations like International Instruments India and MICRO Focus UK.
Head - Quality & Continual Improvement
Muralidhar Pundla is an Engineering Graduate (B. Tech – Electronics & Communications) and holds a Diploma in Software Engineering & Project Management. He brings with him more than 20 years of experience in OEM / EMS industry with companies like Motorola, Flextronics, Bloom Energy etc. He is a trained Six Sigma Black Belt from Motorola University, also a provisional Lead Auditor for ISO9001, ISO14001 Management Systems. He specializes in establishing Business Processes & Systems with extensive knowledge and hands on implementation expertise in Quality Management Systems like ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 18001, TL9000, TS16949 and Quality Initiatives like Six Sigma, Kaizen and Lean. At The Akshaya Patra Foundation as General Manager – Quality and Continual Improvements, he is responsible and oversees Food Quality and Safety Management Systems and drives Continuous Improvement through Lean Six Sigma & Kaizen Initiatives across all Units.
Krishna Prasad holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has rich experience in the areas of Strategy and Product Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Process Improvement, Cost Reduction, Resource Optimisation and Utilisation, Quality Assurance, Maintenance Operations, Safety Management, Team Motivation and more. Previously he has been associated with companies like Pearl Beverages Pvt. Ltd, Himjal Beverages Pvt. Ltd, Trinity Beverages Pvt. Ltd and MGRM Medicare Ltd. At Akshaya Patra he is responsible for managing projects and infrastructure for the organisation.
Saanil K Bhaskaran
Head - Individual Giving and Donor Care
Saanil has over 10 years of experience in General Management, Investment banking and Business consulting across various geographies. He started his career with Reuters (Fixed Income Division), later worked with Capco (Business Consulting Team), Tata Consultancy services (Investment Banking Practice) and First American Corp (Program Management Office). At The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Saanil is heading Individual Giving and Donor care. His responsibilities include growing donations from individuals by scaling up to various Indian & international locations. He is also responsible for entire operations of donations processing, donor analytics and donor helpdesk.
